Through the end of the portal, Zaras and Xeht found themselves in a graveyard.
"Where are we?" asked Xeht. The entire lace looked shrouded in purpleish clouds, like London was a century ago when the crystals erupted throughout Earth and drove the monsters insane.
"The Dimension X Graveyard," said Vergere. Xeht whirled around. He couldn't find her, no matter where he looked.
*Snap-hisss*
Xeht knew the sound of an ingniting lightsaber all too well. He leapt up, just avoiding the blue blade of Vergere's lightsaber. She was already leaping up on top of the stone arc that was over the gate. Xeht turned to Zaras. "I need you to use the Fastball move as soon as I say," he said. He leapt into her saddle and she took off running around and through the graveyard, ocassionaly bowling over tombstones. Vergere started hurling Force Lightning and other Force attacks at Xeht, only to miss. Finally, she locked her blade on and threw it as Zaras headed her way. Xeht caught the saber, and leapt over to her tail. "NOW!" he shouted.
Zaras flung her tail, sending Xeht careening over to Vergere. Xeht managed to stab Vergere in her right shoulder, but she held her ground and caught Xeht's neck in one of her talon-like hands. She used the other one to pull the saber out, and shoved it through Xeht's stomach. Xeht screamed in pain. But he would not, could not, allow himself to die at the hands of his best friends possible murderer. In a burst of fury and hatred, he pushed on Vergere's arm, and the blade was out. He grabbed the handle in her hand and switched it off, then wretched her hand, forcing the lightsaber to drop to the arc. He turned and threw her to the ground just below the arc. Then, recalling his sence and his theory, He hesitated, then began clawing at the symbiote that he knew now was the source of his taste for vengence and anger. Ordinarily, he would have stayed with Xeno to make sure nothing else had happened to him whlie he was unconcious.
He began to tear at the symbiote, using all his might and will power to get rid of it, to let it fall to Vergere. Finally, it began to work. The symbiote was coming off in peices and falling on her, encasing her. Soon, Xeht was entirely rid of it, exhausted, bleeding. He fell off the arc and landed next to Vergere, who was screaming as the thing took her over. Then, everything was quiet. Xeht stared at Vergere. She was standing now, looking herself over, as the black thing had covered her entirely. Then, she turned her attrention to Xeht and cackled. She shot Force LIghtning at Xeht, but could only recoil as the lightning didn't pass her fingers but instead began to shock herself. The symbiote naturally a conducter. Any lightning attack, even by it's own host, shocks it and the person inside to an amplified level. It left Vergere unconcious. The symbiote moved away, looking for someone who wouldn't shock or reject it.
Xeht and Zaras returned through the portal to the Martian Base camp. Xeht was slowly dying from his wounds. He needed someone to help him.
